Raw Materials Expert or Supervisor Flexible Packaging (USA- Canada MNC Manufacturing Company)

Responsibilities:
Principal Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Reporting to Technical and R & D Manager (expatriate), the person will initiate, support and manage the development of new or improved raw materials in compliance with all relevant regulations, company standards and meeting corporate strategies in order to drive value in the business. He will be particularly in charge to check that all the suppliers and raw materials are compliant with any relevant legislation.
Definition of the needs for all Raw materials. Develop and maintain internal specifications for manufacturing raw materials. Prepare specifications to ensure raw materials are made consistently and that testing requirements are defined.
Raw material Qualification. In order to grow the value of the business, manage successfully the development and scale-up of new raw materials/ formulations in / into the plants. Attend trails to ensure the successful development and scale up of new products.
Regulatory and Company compliance. Assess, coordinate and direct investigations of packaging materials and material substitutes in compliance with regulatory requirements to prevent liability and ineligibility of packaging material use. Cooperate with customers to understand their needs and support the use of best EHS practices in the design and manufacture of safe and reliable products that take advantage of our materials’ properties throughout their life cycles.
Cost out projects. Assess, evaluate, coordinate, prioritize, direct and report on material substitution in order to qualify new or alternative materials or structures. Be the technical representative for Purchasing, product development and manufacturing
Technical Management of Suppliers. Drive the portfolio of suppliers for technical questions like audits, project review, trials, and innovations
Projects Management and Portfolio of Projects Management. Use the tools developed by the Company like ACS, Asset to align all the functions on raw materials approval to drive value in the business. Manage efficiently the raw materials projects
Self Development. Keep current with business, leadership and technology issues to provide functional leadership, direction and assessment of business opportunities.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Indonesian, Male / Female, 27 - 32, At least Bachelor (S-1 Degree) Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering with 3- 4 years working experience in national or multinational flexible plastics packaging, rigid plastics packaging, BOPP plastics film manufacturing companies.
Experience: Currently is holding Raw Materials Expert position (Supervisor or Coordinator Level) for the past three to four years with flexible plastics packaging, BOPP plastics film or rigid plastics packaging manufacturing companies. Those who are currently working in national / multinational fast moving consumer goods as Packaging Development Specialist.
Skills & Knowledge: Deep and hands-on experience in all aspects of Raw Materials Expert for flexible plastics packaging or BOPP film. Strong functional and technical skills. Broad appreciation and understanding of Process Engineering & Raw Materials for flexible plastics packaging or BOPP film or rigid plastics packaging manufacturing companies. Comprehensive knowledge of various types of different plastics Raw materials. Such as polyethylene, polypropylene etc.
Personality Profile: A self-starter, excellent team-player, with strong interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated and achieve results through teamwork. Detailed oriented with strong analytical ability.
English communication skills: Fluency in English both oral and written is essential.
